From Turn-Mill Compound & Mirror Finishing to Every High-Difficulty Material
We transfer the proven expertise from turn-mill compound machining and stainless steel mirror finishing to a wide range of high-difficulty materials. Whether it is stainless steel valves, aluminum enclosures, or PEEK medical parts — every material receives the same precision commitment backed by years of process development.
Precision Control for Tight-Tolerance & Easy-to-Machine Materials
Plastic is easy to deform. But if you can achieve high precision on stainless steel, you can definitely control tolerances on plastics. LC Manufacturing excels at two categories of precision material control.
Hard-to-Machine Materials
Stainless steel, titanium, superalloys, PEEK — controlled by process expertise and optimized cutting parameters.
- Stainless Steel Mirror Finishing (Ra 0.2)
- Titanium & Inconel High-Temp Control
- PEEK & PTFE Precision Machining
Easy-to-Deform Materials
Engineering plastics, thin-wall aluminum — controlled by specialized fixturing and stress-relief strategies.
- POM / Delrin ±0.01mm Tolerance
- Thin-Wall Aluminum Anti-Deformation
- Nylon & UHMW-PE Warp Prevention
Engineering Metals
6 major metal categories covering the full spectrum of engineering metals — structural steels, stainless grades, aluminum alloys, copper, titanium, and specialty materials.
Aluminum Alloys
6061 / 7075 / 5052 / MIC-6 / 2024 / 6063
Lightweight structural parts, housings, heat sinks. Excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and machinability.
Stainless Steel
303 / 304 / 316L / 17-4PH / 15-5PH
Medical, food-grade, corrosion-resistant hardware. Mirror-finish capable with Ra 0.2 surface. Excellent corrosion resistance and hygiene properties.
Carbon Steel & Alloy Steel
1018 / 1045 / 4130 / 4140 / 4340 / 8620
Gears, shafts, tooling, load-bearing components. High strength, excellent wear resistance, and cost-effective heat-treat options. 4140 (42CrMo) is the industry workhorse for shafts, gears, and dies.
Brass & Copper
C360 / H59 / C260 / C110 / C101 / Beryllium Copper
Electrical contacts, fittings, RF and thermal parts. Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and the best machinability rating of all metals.
Titanium Alloys
Grade 2 (CP-Ti) / Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V / TC4)
Aerospace, medical, high strength-to-weight parts. Exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, biocompatibility, and corrosion resistance. Grade 2 for chemical and medical; Grade 5 for aerospace structures.
Tool Steel & Mold Steel
D2 / H13 / S7 / O1 / P20 / S136 / NAK80 / M2
Mold inserts, guide pins and bushings, wear blocks, forming blocks. High hardness, wear resistance, and thermal stability. D2 for cold work; H13 for hot work molds.
Engineering Plastics
Supporting metal-part machining with precision plastic capabilities. We machine all major engineering and high-performance polymers — from general-purpose ABS to aerospace-grade PEEK. Plastics deform easily — LC controls them with stainless-grade precision.
PEEK
Standard / GF30 / CF30 / ESD PEEK
Top-performing engineering thermoplastic. Continuous service to 250°C, excellent chemical resistance, biocompatible. Used in medical implants, semiconductor wafer carriers, and aerospace structural parts.
POM / Acetal / Delrin
Natural / Black / Glass-Filled / ESD Grade
Low friction, high dimensional stability, and excellent machinability. The go-to plastic for precision mechanical parts — gears, bushings, sliders, and automation components.
PTFE / Teflon
Virgin PTFE / GF25 / Carbon-Filled
Chemically inert to virtually all substances, with the lowest friction coefficient of any solid plastic. Ideal for seals, gaskets, valve seats, and chemical equipment requiring zero reactivity.
Nylon / PA
PA6 / PA66 / MC Nylon (Cast) / MoS2/GF-Filled
Good wear resistance and toughness for structural and moving parts. MC Nylon offers improved dimensional stability. Used for gears, pulleys, wear strips, and conveyor guides.
PC / ABS / PMMA
Polycarbonate / ABS / Acrylic (PMMA)
PC offers 200x impact strength of glass with optical clarity. ABS is cost-effective and electroplateable. PMMA delivers 92% light transmission with mirror-finish machinability.
PEI (Ultem) / PPS / PP / PVC / HDPE
Ultem 1010 / Ultem 9085 / PPS GF40 / PP / HDPE / PVC
PEI (Ultem) is steam-autoclavable to 180°C for medical and aviation. PPS offers 220°C continuous service. PP/HDPE/PVC for chemical, food-safe, and water treatment applications.
Exotic & High-Performance Alloys
For the most demanding environments — extreme temperature, corrosion, wear, and strength requirements. These materials demand specialized tooling, cutting parameters, and process control.
Nickel-Based Alloys
